Jefferson Market Garden
Interactive Coloring
Hand-drawn botanical linework captures flowers associated with each season.
Seasonal Participation
Jefferson Market Garden is a historic community garden in Greenwich Village, New York, shaped by seasonal planting, neighborhood use, and a quiet sense of intimacy. This project proposes a small-scale campaign and brochure series that uses the garden’s seasonal rhythm as a visual and interactive framework.
Designed for local visitors, families, and community members, the brochures introduce a coloring-based interaction inspired by botanical line drawings and garden observation. Each season features a different set of flowers, inviting visitors to engage with the garden through looking, coloring, and collecting rather than passive reading.
Through hand-drawn illustration, soft seasonal palettes, and editorial typography, the project explores how a modest printed object can become both an informational guide and a participatory keepsake, extending the experience of the garden beyond the site itself.
