Trace — Social Campaign Guidebook (2025)

A social campaign inviting people to slow down and notice the overlooked marks in their everyday paths. These “traces”—cracks on sidewalks, worn corners, or natural imprints like fallen leaves—become small yet meaningful signs of time and presence. The system includes nine minimal symbols that provide a visual language for participants to map and interpret traces. A campaign video introduces the concept, while a participatory workbook/zine encourages reflection and interaction through mapping and personal documentation.

Symbol Design

A set of nine minimal symbols created for participants to map and interpret traces found in their daily paths.
Each symbol provides a shared visual language to record overlooked marks and translate personal observations into a collective system of meaning.

Participatory Workbook / Zine

An eight-page zine designed to encourage interaction and reflection.
It includes a cover, a page of a map and instructions, a page showcasing the symbol designs, and blank pages where participants can record their own traces.
Each copy also provides a space to write the participant’s name and starting date — turning the act of noticing into a tangible record of everyday presence.
